Connector Cross Reference for 3G datacards and Modems:

Before making an external antenna purchase, it is important to check that the antenna is compatible with your 3G datacard, modem or dongle. We have listed the most popular 3G datacards, modems and dongles below. For each modem we have identified the connector type and the most appropriate Connex Tech external antennas to improve your signal reception. The most common external antenna connectors are CRC9 (mostly for Huawei products), the MC connector (mostly for Option products) and the SSMB connector (for Sierra Wireless).

Many 3G Routers have a SMA-Female connector as the antenna connector - this means that all is required is a 3G antenna and a cable terminated in SMA-Male.
